Contemporary Design Meets Functional Art

Blurring the lines of Furniture Design
As a furniture designer, I tend to blur the lines of mid-century and contemporary design. I love the clean minimal aesthetic that each style possesses. I strive to combine thoughtful minimalistic lines that are sleek, but bold. Throughout all my work, I create a similar movement which draws your eye around the piece - playfulness is a key component to my design style. Most of the movement comes from hand-drawn curves that keep these lines organic yet refined.

The Designer
Growing up in Pennsylvania, surrounded by Craftsman style homes and furniture, instilled in me a deep appreciation for the art of creation. From my earliest memories, I was drawn to the process of making things with my own hands.
After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts with concentrations in Furniture Design and Ceramics with a minor in Business, I embarked on a seven-year journey as a carpenter. This period provided invaluable hands-on experience in building, problem-solving, managing complex schedules, leading successful crews, and collaborating closely with clients.
While the nomadic lifestyle had its appeal, I eventually felt the pull to return to my roots: furniture design. Drawn by its natural beauty and a lifestyle deeply connected to the outdoors, I chose Utah as the home for SR Woodworking Furniture Design Studio.
Today, my passion lies in organic modern and contemporary design. I believe in crafting bespoke, high-quality furniture that not only elevates spaces but also stands the test of time. It's a privilege to carry on the tradition of creating handmade furniture designed to last for generations.
